The times, they are a changin'

I realize that it has been well over a month since I have updated this blog and I have also come to realize that most of my posts start with a sentence similar to this one. That being said, here is what has been going on with me:
I sold my car and payed it off. I am free and clear of that burden for the rest of my life and the guy who bought it seems overjoyed with his purchase. I am mailing him the title today and then the transaction is complete. The downside to that is obvious: I am now using the two appendages protruding from my waist to get me from here to there. I am told they are called "legs". It's been an adjustment but I am getting use to it as it's not a far walk to any place I need to go and the way I see it, I walked around for the first 10 months I lived here, I can manage another 3.
That being said, I am beginning to realize that it is time to stop playing so much and really start getting things in order for the move. My destination is still Portland, OR. in January and that is officially 3 months from now. This means it is really crunch time and while it is getting very exciting it is also making me a little nervous. The point in selling my car was to pay off that loan and throw some towards my debt. Thats been done and now it is time to catch up, crack down, and sacrifice some of my fun for business. Saving money business. When I moved here I had the promise of a job and a place to live. On this move, I have neither. That being said, yesterday I sent out about a dozen resumes to various hotels in Portland and emailed my top three apartment choices to have them keep me in mind for January if the places are available then. I will be making a trip up there the beginning of December to do some more job hunting and looking at apartments as it will be closer to my move date. Wish me luck.
For my friends in Durango, I will be making a trip down there at some point in December or January as well to retrieve my kitty and other possessions.
So there are the highlights friends. I hope I answered all your burning questions. All three of you. *cries*

I have found a lot of time recently awarded to me so I have been brushing up (pun intended) on my Photoshop skills! I'll post some samples as soon as I get a few projects done.
