Seattles Best: Part 3

We awoke with the intention of going out early on my final day in Seattle and doing all the touristy things. As per usual, we stayed in bed until 11 and finally rose to get morning essentials done and meet Ashley, another roommate, and her boyfriend for lunch at yet another very cool neighborhood pub. After good conversation and sustenance we headed over to Gas Works Park which has the best view of the city and if you climb the grassy knoll you will find a huge compass on the ground at the top. Gas Works Park apparently use to be where they produced gas, thus the name and the rusty two story maze of pipes and silos amidst the pretty scene. Regardless, it was a beautiful site and yielded a couple of nice photos.
Leaving the park we decided to shoot down to the Seattle Center and check out the Science Museum and hopefully see the Lucy Exhibit. I proceeded to get us lost, even with the GPS yelling commands at me. We decided that "Emily" has some anger issues. Eventually we found our route to downtown and parked. We walked over to the museum and lo and behold the Lucy Exhibit was closed. Well that won't ruin our good time. We went inside and played with all the fun demos and sat in an enormous chair at an enormous table, and Miss got her very own plastic mold of a Apollo capsule.
Leaving the museum, we headed home to do some regrouping and get ready to go see our friend Nick for his birthday. Chatted up Nick for awhile and then excused ourselves, as we realized we hadn't really eaten much that day. We drove down the street to what we thought looked like a fun little pub. Turned out to be a Greek influenced restaurant with shitty service. So we left. Our destination: Pies and Pints. This establishment was not at all what we had envisioned it to be, but we were pleasantly surprised none the less. It wasn't a pizza joint. It was a pot pie heaven. They had great beer, good pies, and to top it all off, a live bluegrass band! We have decided it's our new favorite place.
It's now time to head home and get to bed, as it is up at 4:00 to get me to the airport the next day. We get in as much cuddling and love as possible before falling asleep. It was an amazing trip and I couldn't have asked for a better person to spend three days away from home with.

I have found a lot of time recently awarded to me so I have been brushing up (pun intended) on my Photoshop skills! I'll post some samples as soon as I get a few projects done.
