A series of moments

We experience very few perfect moments in our busy, rushing here, rushing there lives, let alone do we get to really enjoy those moments and just...inhale them. The picture above is one of those moments that will forever live in my mind and my heart. We were walking around the garden in the Getty Museum and on a warm day in January (yes, warm. It's southern California) and decided to sit on a bench and just...be. We both noticed so many simple things that we never would have saw had we not sat down and just stopped for a few minutes. The color of a falling leaf. The smell of a strange plant neither of us could put our finger on. The young couple and their adorable toddler walking down the path. And for those few minutes, sitting on that bench with this person I care for so deeply, I was lost in a perfect, much simpler place.
It is all too often that we worry about what the future holds or what has happened in the past in our lives. We get stressed out thinking about what could have been or what will be. Remember that life is just a series of moments taking us from one point to another, always moving forward. If you can capture those moments and hold on to them, do so with all your might. For they are precious and far and few between.

I have found a lot of time recently awarded to me so I have been brushing up (pun intended) on my Photoshop skills! I'll post some samples as soon as I get a few projects done.
