Get down with the sickness

About a week ago I walked into Von's and bought out their pharmacy of every preventative cold medicine and vitamin C I could get my paws on and promptly came home and sat in my room with the shades drawn and the lights out amongst my cache of drugs and repeated to myself, "I will not get sick. I will not get sick..." The day after Christmas I got sick. Luckily it was only a minor 2 day cold that I am just getting over and killing out the last symptoms of. I am feeling a ton better today and will be in tip top shape for the upcoming New Years Eve bash. This New Years I even have a date. Christie is driving up from L.A. to spend a few days with me and I am very much looking forward to spending some time with my wonderful, amazing Miss.
Being away from home for Christmas this year was only the second time in my life I can remember doing so. As it drew nearer and nearer to the 25th I began to get a little sad, but decided that I would make the best of the day and maybe go peep a movie and remember that even though I couldn't be home I still had a wonderful family who loved me and I would see in January.
I came home on the evening before Christmas Eve after doing a grueling run of shows and looking forward to two days off, and I was standing in the kitchen making some dinner when my phone rang. It was Miss. We talked for a bit about our day and then she said something that caught me a bit off guard. She asked me to come to her house for Christmas day. I accepted and Christmas day was more than I could have asked for. I felt very blessed that even though I couldn't spend the day with my family, I was asked to spend it with hers. I felt very much at home and had a wonderful time. I hope that everyone else had a merry Christmas and is looking forward to a very happy new year.

Extracarricular

I have found a lot of time recently awarded to me so I have been brushing up (pun intended) on my Photoshop skills! I'll post some samples as soon as I get a few projects done.
