Recently I have come to realize that although I will never "grow up", and just like Peter Pan, will be a boy forever, I have decided that perhaps it is time for me to start making more grown up decisions in my life. For example: Saving money. I am 26 years old and would someday like to have a house of my own, a car of my own that I'm not making payments on, and still have some money left over to live on. Now as we all know that does not come without working hard and making some sacrifices. With that in mind, I have recently opened up a savings account that automatically pulls $100 from my checking account each week. I have vowed not to touch that account unless it is an absolute emergency. This is where maturity comes in to play.
A house. I know people my age who have owned a house for 2 years or more already. I want that. I have to work for it. One of the main things I look forward to when it comes to real estate ownership is decorating. One room in my house, be it the office, rec room, or one of my kids' rooms, it will be Disney themed. Posters, figures, wallpaper, stuffed animals. Another room will be dedicated to movies. I could go on for hours about decorating my house, but I will spare you the time.
A car. I will always love sports cars, and just cars in general, but the time has come for me to get something practical, economical, and something that has four doors. I also am aiming at something built within the last 3 years.
I am hoping that the combination of the three (savings, house, and car), not in that particular order, will be stepping into adult-hood just enough without letting go of the less mature, sometimes reckless, and always kid-ish side of me.

don't become too mature, otherwise we won't have anything to talk about. :) GO GEEKS! xoxo
